John Skoczen has made a lifetime study out of drumming. At a young age he played on books with drum sticks to music on the radio and as he got more serious he studied music in college. At age twenty two, while on his first summer break, he toured Canada with a band. He went on to finish college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music performance and education. John did his first contract as a musician on cruise ships in 1996 aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines to the Bahamas and Virgin Islands. Since then he has toured the Caribbean numerous times as a musician through Royal Caribbean and Princess Cruise Lines. His most recent contract was in 2010 aboard the Caribbean Princess, playing music and traveling to the islands of: Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Aruba, St. Marten, Antigua, St. Lucia, Martinique, St. Kitts, St. Nevis, Bonaire, Tortola, Barbados, Dominica, St. Vincent, Grenada, Trinidad (home of the steel drums) and Tobago.
